Network Operators

Background

Dchain utilises Self Sovereign Identity (SSI) framework to ensure high quality and compliant validators are onboarded and that their credentials for providing validating and staking services for DT holders have not be revoked, continuously. See the VCV for more information.

For the testnet, the onboarding process is automated and processed by Gayadeed on behalf D-Foundation.

1. Request to be a validator at info@dfoundation.io.
2. Access the code and get the validator consensus address to attest to in the next step.
3. D-Foundation will send an invitation link to the operator entity representative to start the onboarding proces. In the Gayadeed application:
   1. KYC / KYB processes are done with requested information
   2. D-Foundation (initially) and operator entity representative can digitally sign a validator contract with Advanced Electronic Signature (eIDAS-compliant). 1. a verifiable credential is issued to the operator entity

The operator then uses the verifiable credential to derive a verifiable presentation, which is then used for block proposals and voting.
